I’m a wee bit early on the celebratory good wishes because tomorrow we’re traveling home (I-95, YAY!) and the rest of the week will involve much rushing about in north Florida. We’ve been in North Carolina since Wednesday, visiting my brother and his family, generally relaxing while a cold front rolled through. We spent the first night and morning in Manteo on Roanoke Island checking out the maritime museum, Fort Raleigh, and the local art gallery. (More on those in the future.)
My manuscript sits here beside me feeling rather neglected, but hoping to be released into the big world in 2025.
Today I’m just determined to touch the beach once more even if it doesn’t reach 40 degrees out there.
I went to high school in Manteo.
Safe travels and Merry Christmas :-)
